The rural scenery is reflected in the water flowing there and moving the mills and millstones.
The Parque Temático Molinológico was inaugurated in 2009. It is a “live museum” that promotes preserving the region’s cultural heritage linked to bread making and cereal milling.
This park, comprised of 11 watermills, is divided into 3 centres spread along the Ul and Travanca rivers: the Ponte da Igreja Centre, the Adães Centre and the Crasto Centre.
Here, visitors can witness a live and colourful recreation of milling cereals and the making of the tasty UL bread, which can also be tasted. You can, as well, explore the evolution of the revolutionary rice husking industry in the other sections.
A picnic and a play area are available at the museum complex, which, combined with the rustic surroundings, invite moments of tranquillity and sharing.
