Valongo
Valongo is known as the capital of outdoor sports.
The mountains of Santa Justa and Pias are home to a vast biological, geological and palaeontological patrimony dating back more than 350 million years, which makes their preservation essential as Valongo’s natural heritage and a Natura 2000 site.
As part of the Park Serras do Porto, classified as a Protected Landscape, the mountains are sought after as a leisure destination due to their diversity of sporting activities, including walking, cycling and equestrian trails, where you can’t miss the Contemplation Circuit and the Cuca Macuca Staircase.
With a backpack on your shoulders, explore unknown paths and take a glimpse at the horizon from the highest peaks.
