In 1763, the Capela do Senhor da Pedra (Chapel of the Lord of the Stone) was erected on top of the rocks as a place of worship and adoration, a hexagonal monument made of granite with a white façade and tiles.

An enigmatic aura hangs over this chapel due to its architectural beauty and the associated myths and legends, making it a must-visit. Many photographers pass through here eager to capture its best angle and do justice to its magnificence, so finding a shot that inspires you won’t be challenging.

It has twice been voted “Top 15 Best Beaches” and “Most Romantic Wedding Proposal Places” by European Best Destinations.
