From the agile and calloused hands of the masters comes the masterful work, rocked by the tinkling of the tools that mould the raw wood between low and high reliefs to create ornaments of singular beauty.
Woodworking is a centuries-old tradition that has developed over time to become the most critical and recognised activity in Paredes.
All the heritage left by the furniture industry can now be explored through guided tours that show the two realities of the activity. On the one hand, the small carving, joinery and carpentry workshops and, on the other, the large industries and the Professional Training Centre for the Wood and Furniture Industries (CFPIMM).
Discover the origins and aspects of this art and try out all the tools and techniques used. Be amazed by the evolution of machinery and engineering that now accompanies the furniture industry.
